Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in learning more about FBCL!

Through the years, we’ve learned that people visit FBCL for many reasons, including:

  • Family or friends extend invitation to attend
  • The desire to plug back in to church
  • Attending church for the first time
  • Realize the need for a fresh start in life
  • Recently moving to the area
Whatever your reason for considering FBCL, we count it a privilege to answer any questions you may have and share ways you can engage in the life and ministries of our church! If you can’t find the information you’re looking for from the questions below, please contact us.

We hope you will join us for one of our Worship Services this Sunday.
Be encouraged to “come as you are” as you seek answers, comfort and encouragement.

Considering FBCL?

I’m considering becoming a member of FBCL. What can I do to learn more?

If you want to know more about how to become a member of FBCL, about our facilities, and about our programs and ministries, all of our staff are ready to assist you.  You may call the church office at 903.758.0681 with your request and the receptionist will direct your call to one of our ministers.

By visiting our worship services and LifeGroup Bible studies on Sundays, you will experience our beliefs and ministries first hand.  We invite you to come and give us a try.  You can count on hearing God’s word in our Celebrative Worship Service at 10:45am and studying His word through LifeGroup Bible studies at 9:30am.  The evening worship is at 6:00 p.m. in Ford Chapel.

I’m considering getting involved in a Bible study class.  What would you recommend?

One of the best ways to make connections, grow relationships, and be challenged in God’s Word is through our LifeGroup Bible studies.  FBCL offers Bible study on Sunday mornings for all ages from Preschool to Senior Adults.  These classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in our Beaty Christian Education Building and The Hub.  Our classes are grouped by age but we also have alternative classes made up of all age groups.  Our curriculum is from several sources including topical studies, Precept studies, book studies and others.

On the first and third Sunday evenings of each month, you have the option of attending the evening worship service in Ford Chapel at 6:00 p.m. or attending one of our many Small Group Bible Fellowships.  These fellowships are a great opportunity to get to know other Christians in your age-group.  The fellowships are designed with a time of fellowship and Bible study in a relaxed home atmosphere.  Contact the church office for more information on Small Group Bible Fellowships.

I know getting involved in ministry is important at FBCL, but I don’t know where to start.  What are my options?

There are many opportunities at FBCL for service.  Are you interested in teaching, missions, music, recreation, women’s ministry or community projects?  If so, we have something for you!  There is a place for everyone at FBCL.  See the “Ministries” area of this website for more details.

Where is FBCL located?

FBCL is located in downtown Longview at the corner of South and Fredonia. We have visitor’s parking in a convenient area in front of the church just for you!  We also have Members and Guests Services personnel (Red Shirts) in all our parking lots ready to assist you when you arrive.  As an added service, we have shuttle carts to get you from your vehicle to the entrance of the church.
