You don't have to be a member of the church to join one of First Baptist's Bible study classes called's "the church within the church." LifeGroups are groups with similar ages, family structures, or study interests meeting together for:

  • Living for Others | Mission/Ministry
  • Interactive Bible Study
  • Fellowship
  • Encouragement

This is where real, life-enriching relationships can form and develop. You are not "assigned" to a group, but are free to visit as many groups as you like to find a good fit. To find a LifeGroup, click here.

55+ Ministry

Any sports fan knows that the most exciting time of a ballgame is usually the second half. In fact, some individuals do not even turn the game on until the second half to see how it ends. At First Baptist, we are convinced that the second half of a person's life can be, and often is, the most exciting time for ministry. Those who are 55+ often understand the urgency of the moment and desire to make each day count. Scripture consistently points out the impact of those who were 55+.

Come and join us for our weekly LifeGroups, monthly events, and annual retreats. The best way to become involved and stay engaged in our 55+ Ministry is to receive our monthly senior adult newsletter called the "1st Informer." For more information, contact Priscilla, or call the church office 903.758.0681. If you would prefer to check out the "1st Informer" online, you can find it each month by clicking here
